GOLFERS DISCOVER FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH WITH NEW PRECEPT ECS SENIOR IRONS
New Irons for Senior Golfers Offer Unrivaled Forgiveness and Feel
|
Covington, Ga. — Age is not a determinant of how competitive you can be.
Senior golfers may not swing the club as fast or create as much backspin as
they once did, but they still demand maximum performance out of their
equipment. With their unique needs in mind, Precept created the new ECS Senior
Irons, a perimeter-weighted game-improvement set that offers forgiveness and
increased feel on every shot.
The philosophy at Precept has always been to engineer golf products that will
help all golfers elevate their game. For senior golfers, that means much more
than simply adding a lightweight shaft to the clubs. To help senior golfers get
more out of their miss hits, each ECS Senior Iron features a longer heel-to-toe
length to distribute the weight of the clubhead evenly for an enhanced
sweetspot. To help senior golfers get the ball in the air, there is a tungsten
insert in the trailing edge of the club. This weight produces an optimal ball
flight by lowering the center of gravity. And to reduce vibration at impact and
provide more feel, an elastomer compound insert is located behind the face.
Finally, to help senior golfers generate power, Precept has equipped the ECS
Senior Irons with a 60-gram, A-flex graphite shaft, a lightweight Mitsubishi
shaft designed specifically for senior golfer's clubhead speeds.
The ECS Senior irons are also unique in that they come in either a standard
3-PW set or a hybrid set, made up of a 3/4 ECU Utility Wood (25 degrees of
loft), a 5/6 ECU Utility Wood (30 degrees) and 7-SW. All of these elements make
the ECS Senior irons a must-have for senior golfers looking to improve their
games.
“Now senior golfers can benefit from some of the same cutting edge technology
players using the Precept EC603 irons are using,” said Mike Moxie, Precept
Marketing Club Planner. “The added weight in the sole and additional power in
the clubhead will benefit those with slower swing speeds, by providing greater
forgiveness and feel from the fairway and rough.”
The ECS Senior Irons set (3-PW) features a MSRP of $560, while the EC Senior
Irons Hybrid set will feature an MSRP of $600. Both will start shipping in
October 2004.
