IN ADDITION TO BRIGHTENING THE AVERAGE GOLFER’S GAME,
PRECEPT INTRODUCES NEW BALL THAT FEELS GREAT AND PLAYS LONG

The XP3 Utilizes New ‘X’-Polymer Core for Increased Distance and Feel
Covington, Ga. — In 2006, Precept will offer golfers scorching distance, smooth feel and wicked control all in one golf ball, with the new XP3.

The XP3 is the first golf ball to feature Precept’s newly developed X-Polymer core. The new core provides a softer feel while increasing the energy released at impact through its repeating X shaped molecular structure. The advanced molecular make-up of the polymer provides a more efficient energy transfer at moderate swing speeds.

In addition, the XP3 utilizes a Soft Surlyn® cover to create acute feel in the short game. The injection-molded cover allows for consistency in spin, feel and distance. The cover, which is one of the softest in the Precept line, is still highly resistant to abrasions and scuffs.

The cover also boasts the patented Seamless Cover TechnologyTM providing a consistent trajectory even in windy conditions. The 432 dimple design combined with the high energy core, create the ideal condition of high launch and low spin off the driver, resulting in more airtime and added distance. In addition, the soft cover and core also provides great feel and control with the scoring irons and around the green.

“The XP3 offers golfers a unique blend of distance, feel and durability at an affordable price,” said Brandon Sowell, Precept Golf Ball - Marketing Manager, Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “The advanced X-Polymer core gives players with moderate swing speeds the ability to generate the relative distance with this ball that a player with a swing speed of 100+mph gets out of a TOUR level ball. This golf ball is designed specifically for the average golfer to maximize the energy transfer from their swing and gain distance.”

Beyond its advanced playing characteristics, the XP3 offers golfers a new twist. In addition to traditional white, the XP3 is available in Clear Optic Yellow and Clear Optic Orange, both of which not only offer golfers a new look on the course, but also make the ball easier to follow throughout play.

“Gaining in popularity, colored golf balls made a splash in 2005,” said Sowell. “And with the XP3, players not only have unique color options they also get top notch quality and high performance.”

The Precept XP3 golf ball will be available April 2006 at green grass retailers and golf specialty stores nationwide, and features a suggested retail price of $30 per dozen. For more information on the Precept XP3 and other 2006 Precept products log on to www.preceptgolf.com.
