PRECEPT GAINS YOUTH APPEAL WITH LATEST TOUR TEAM SIGNING
#1 Ranked American Women’s Golfer, Paula Creamer
To Use Precept Balls in 2006
|
Covington, Ga. — Bridgestone Golf, Inc. officially announced today that
it has added LPGA dynamo Paula Creamer to its growing worldwide TOUR team.
In 2006, Creamer will play a Precept golf ball in all professional tournaments.
Creamer will kick-off the 2006 season using a prototype Precept ball in all
professional competitions, making her the only current golfer to officially
endorse Precept in LPGA sanctioned tournaments.
With the addition of Creamer, the Bridgestone Golf worldwide TOUR team will
boast two of the hottest young golfers on the LPGA TOUR, already having a full
equipment deal in Japan with 2005 Q-School Medalist Ai Miyazato.
As part of the arrangement, Creamer is currently working with the Bridgestone
Golf product development team to create a new “Precept” branded ladies TOUR
level ball that she expects to put in play later this year.
“This is the first golf ball contract of my career and I am excited that it has
come with Bridgestone Golf, a worldwide leader in golf ball technologies,” said
Creamer. “Everything I do, I do with the goal in mind of becoming the #1-ranked
women’s player in the world. I firmly believe that the quality of this golf
ball and my 100% trust in its performance will help me get there.”
While the exact terms of the deal will remain undisclosed at this time, the
company is pleased to report the contract is a multi-year deal.
“Paula is a very special talent,” said Hisashi Kawano, President, Bridgestone
Sports, Inc. “Her combination of a fun attitude, pioneering sense of fashion
and awe-inspiring performance on-the-course makes her the perfect player to
bring Bridgestone Golf’s technological edge to the LPGA TOUR.”
